Teacher during COVID time

Last year’s scholar year was a disaster for both students and teachers! With lots of schools shutting down many teachers found themselves without jobs. While children were asked to study online, in a region like Tripoli this was quasi impossible! Many had no access to computers, electricity cuts and internet access made this solution difficult.

An unemployed teacher was selected to teach 5 children aged between 9-10 years old who could not study online during the last months of the scholar year. She is covering the school curriculum and will host the children 2h/ 3 times per week. This part time job will help her support her family of 5 members. Parents and guardians of children cannot afford private tutoring and some of them are illetrate and can’t help their children at home. With the absence of activities for children in the area, children will be out of the streets for some hours and will be better equipped to confront the next scholar year!
